The September 2025 General Election was held from the 24 September 2025 to the 28 September 2025. It was the twelfth election held under the electoral system known as the Romefeller Method adopted by the Representation of the People Act 2024. It resulted in a resounding electoral victory for Josephine Somerset Carew, The Duchess of Bedford: it was the third electoral victory in a row for the Unionist Party. With the Progressive Commonwealth Party failing to field any candidates, Jacob Sherwood's League of Independent and Optimistic Nationals Party became the second-largest in the Commons, albeit with a single Member of Parliament. One Independent also won a seat, Frederick Urquhart.
