The February 2026 General Election was held from 24 February 2026 to 27 February 2026. It was the fifteenth election held under the electoral system known as the Romefeller Method adopted by the Representation of the People Act 2024. It resulted in a record-breaking fifth election win in a row for the Unionist Party as Philip Somerset was uncontested for Number Ten, with support from several independents and the Progressive Commonwealth Party. There was significant pre-election discussion surrounding the potential Premiership campaign by Oliver Villiers, The Baron Braybrooke of the Green Sovereignty Party, though ultimately Villiers did not even stand as an MP, with the party only fielding a single candidate.
