The Secretary of State for Regional Development, more commonly referred to as the Regional Development Secretary, is a senior Minister of the Crown responsible for fostering gameside engagement and developing the gameside environment. They are appointed by the Sovereign on the advice of the Prime Minister and sit ex-officio as a Member of the Cabinet.
This office was created by Prime Minister Charles Wright, The Viscount Kirkwall on 20 March 2025, to assist in combatting low gameside nation count. It was later renamed from Overseas to Gameside by Thomas Carew, The Marquess of Dorchester to reflect its domestic nature on 21 June 2025. It was again renamed to Regional by Thomas Carew, The Marquess of Dorchester on 21 July 2025 at the insistence of Charles Wright, The Baron Huntingdon.
The first Secretary of State for Regional Development was Albus Chamberlain. The longest-serving Gameside Secretary is Sir Xavier Sherwood, who held the post for 41 days. The shortest-serving Regional Secretary is Charles Wright, The Viscount Kirkwall, who held the post for 22 days. The first woman to serve in the post was Josephine Carew, Marchioness of Dorchester.
The incumbent Regional Development Secretary is Charles Wright, The Baron Huntingdon, who has been in the position since the 20 July 2025.
