Earl of Devon is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain created by George VII during the new King's Coronation Honours List, published on the 29 April 2025, for Thomas Carew. It was done so in recognition predominantly of his work in the Royal Household as Lord High Steward, Private Secretary to the Sovereign, and as Vice-Chair of the Coronation Committeee. The title also has the subsidiary title of the Earl of Devon, the Viscount Sidmouth and the Baron Knightstone. The eldest child of the Marquess is entitled to use the courtesy title of "Lord Sidmouth." The other children of the Marquess of Dorchester without a substantive title of their own hold the courtesy appanage "of Dorchester".
