Earl of Devon is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain created by George VII during the new King's accession Honours List, published on the 1 January 2025, for Thomas Carew. It was done so in recognition of his role in the Coronation & Transition Committee but also for his long and distinguished service The title also has the subsidiary title of the Viscount Sidmouth and the Baron Knightstone. The eldest child of Lord Devon is entitled to use the courtesy title of "Lord Knightstone", in the case of a male, or "Lady Knightstone" in the case of a female. The other children of Lord Sidmouth without a substantive title of their own hold the courtesy appanage "of Devon".
