The Secretary of State for Overseas Development, more commonly referred to as the Overseas Development Secretary, is a senior Minister of the Crown responsible for fostering gameside engagement and developing the gameside environment. They are appointed by the Sovereign on the advice of the Prime Minister and sit ex-officio as a Member of the Cabinet. The Overseas Development Secretary can be a Member of Parliament, but this has never been the case. This office was created by Prime Minister Charles Wright, The Viscount Kirkwall on 20 March 2025, to assist in combatting low gameside nation count.
