The Times is a British-Canadian regional newspaper based jointly between Ottawa and London. Beginning in 1785, it is a current subsidiary of CCGM, which is the main media conglomerate in the region.
First founded in the region in 2021 by Francis Olórin, it was in publication from February to June 2021, before becoming defunct. It was refounded by Josephine Carew in March 2024, before ownership passed to her husband, Thomas Carew later that year. Widely regarded as one of the region's premier papers and correspondence outlets, it has become well known for dry and insightful political correspondence, and usually reports on political scandals and long, complicated developments in Westminster and Whitehall.
In January 2026, it was merged with several other notable papers and companies to form CCGM plc. The Times remains the flagship brand of the company.
The Times has reported exclusively on several scandals and political controversies, including Claregate; the scandals of the Second Premiership of the Duke of Warwick; the PCP Leadership fallouts in August 2025; and the controversial appointment of James Spencer, The Baron Scarborough as Leader of the Heron Party in 2024. It has also become well known for its coverage of elections and its infamous "Grillings", which are interviews of Prime Ministerial candidates during the election period.
