The 37th Session of Parliament began on the 6 January 2025 following the results of the January 2025 General Election the evening prior. It resulted in a hung Parliament split between the British Workers' Party and a joint Heron-Unionist Parliamentary Coalition. Negotiations resulted in William Somerset, The Earl of Durham being appointed Prime Minister as head of the latter, with BWP Leader Sir Noa de Carteret as Deputy Prime Minister.
